Join local award-winning horticulturist and author, Lauren Springer, and visionary native landscaper, Bryan Fischer, for an inspiring exploration of native plants for beautiful, resilient Rocky Mountain gardens. Bryan Fischer is horticultural manager at the High Plains Environmental Center in Loveland, where he tends the demonstration gardens. He also consults on landscape projects from Loveland to Denver. One of his meadow designs received international recognition in the Australian book “Visionary: Gardens and Landscapes for Our Future.” Bryan selects and breeds native plants for desirable garden traits while preserving their wildlife benefits, and he writes about plants and gardening.
Lauren Springer received the 2025 American Horticultural Society Landscape Design Award. She has introduced numerous plants to the trade, including nearly a dozen for Plant Select®. Her books include the bestselling “The Undaunted Garden” and the award-winning “Plant-Driven Design.” Her work has appeared in national and international publications and includes projects at Denver Botanic Gardens, Chatfield Farms, the Santa Fe Botanical Garden and the Gardens on Spring Creek in Fort Collins.
